The music ministry at Christ Presbyterian Church exists to help our congregation lift their voices together in worship. Each week, the team leads worship on Sunday mornings and gathers on Thursday nights for rehearsal and preparation. The team also participates in special music events throughout the year. Whether you’re a seasoned musician or just beginning, we welcome all skill levels and provide a place to grow in your gifts. The ministry is led by Matt Magrum.
About Matt
Matt has been part of the Christ Presbyterian Church (PCA) family since 2019, where his passion for music and ministry found a natural home. After years of lending his voice to the music team, he stepped into the role of volunteer music director in 2024, partnering with his wife, Dara, who brings her own technical artistry to the sound board.
With a degree in Vocal Music Performance from Moody Bible Institute, Matt’s musical journey spans over two decades—from singing opera to leading worship in churches across the country. His love for music is matched only by his curiosity and creativity in other areas: by day, he’s a Software Engineering Manager; by night (and weekend), he’s often found experimenting in the kitchen, exploring new corners of the world, capturing moments through photography, or enjoying a night at the opera—all with Dara by his side.
